This Rumination is rather lost for words. I do not remember the photograph’s nascence, and can only identify its location from its neighbours on the film. So there is nothing to be said under two of the headings I proposed for these ruminations: neither the history of the photographic subject, nor the circumstances of its capture. Further, relating the parts of an image which has no definite elements seems curious, while one might wax about cool monotones or patterns of light in the heat, it seems unlikely that the words could outstrip what the eye sees at a glance. While sorting photos, I thought it looked promising enough to make a big copy. At picture size I enjoyed it. Hopefully you can do so too, albeit in this reduced form. A rumination? Maybe an example of words trying to elbow out perception; certainly we can always tell a story, but sometimes it is better to just look.
